Please Do Not Disturb..........(Part 1)





Hello everyone. I’m back
Yes definitely me. Not other people but just only me. As you all can see my title was given is all about the privacy. This entry will talk about privacy. Everyone has their own privacy right? And do you know what privacy is? Just let me inform you about what privacy are all about.

According to Oxford dictionary definition of privacy, it is a state in which one is not observed or disturbed by other people. For example, she returned to the privacy of her own home. Other than that, privacy also defined as a state that one is being free from the public attention. Example, a law restrict newspapers freedom to invade people privacy. Synonym to the privacy is secrecy, solitude or seclusion. ‘Privacy’ is an abstract and contentious notion.

On the contrary, privacy is the interest that individuals have in sustaining a ‘personal space’, free from interference by other people and organization as defined by the Roger Clarke, 2006. There were 4 categories of privacy which is privacy of the person, privacy of personal behaviour, privacy of personal communication, and privacy of personal data. First, privacy of personal means people are concerned about their integrity of their body such as blood donation. They need to get consent from the owner of their body.

Next, is privacy of personal behaviour means all activities that related to person behaviour such as preferences, sexual appearance, political and religious practices, both in private or public places. Sometime it refers to the ‘media privacy’. Usually public figure and professionals’ people are not exception from this type of privacy. Besides that, privacy of personal communication refers to an interest to communicate with other people around them without any restriction or regulation among themselves using various social media network.

Lastly, privacy of personal data is all about an individual claims that data about themselves should not be automatically available to other individual and organization. The person may have substantial control over his personal data information about themselves. Sometime it is referred to as a ‘data privacy’ or ‘information privacy’.
